Laminate flooring in Gravesend
Laminate Flooring
A practical, stylish, and cost-effective way to achieve the look of real wood. Fitted by our in-house team across Gravesend and Kent.
What is Laminate Flooring?
Laminate flooring gives you the warmth and character of a wood floor at a more accessible price point. It’s made up of multiple layers bonded together, a photographic layer that replicates the look of real wood, protected by a tough wear layer that stands up well to everyday use.
Today’s laminate products are realistic, durable, and available in a wider range of styles and finishes than ever before, making them a popular choice for homes across Kent.
Quickstep & Balterio Master Installers

It means the team installing your floor has been recognised by two of the industry’s leading manufacturers as fitters who know their products inside out. With every floor laid by our own in-house Master Installers, you can be confident the job is done right.
Where can Laminate Flooring be used?
Laminate works well in most living areas of the home. It performs best in rooms with lower moisture levels, so it’s not generally recommended for rooms where water exposure is higher.

Frequently asked Laminate questions
Is laminate flooring waterproof?
Laminate is water resistant but not fully waterproof. It can handle everyday spills if wiped up promptly, but prolonged exposure to moisture — particularly at the joints — can cause damage. For rooms with higher moisture levels, we can point you in the right direction.
Can laminate be fitted over underfloor heating?
Laminate flooring is suitable for underfloor heating. We are happy to advise and recommend products before installation.
How long does laminate flooring last?
A good quality laminate floor, properly installed and well maintained, will typically last 10 to 20 years. Wear layer rating plays a big part, and we’ll guide you towards the right specification for your room.
Does laminate sound hollow underfoot?
It can, without adequate underlay. Using a good quality underlay makes a significant difference, and we’ll factor this into your recommendation.
Can laminate be fitted on stairs?
Yes, with the right nosing profile. Our team will advise on the best approach for your staircase during the measuring visit.
How do I maintain laminate flooring?
Regular vacuuming and dry sweeping is all it needs day to day. Avoid wet mopping — a lightly damp cloth is more than enough for cleaning.
