We’re a family-run flooring business based in Gravesend, Kent, trading since 2003. We supply and install a full range of flooring to homes and businesses across the area, and we operate the largest independent flooring showroom in the town.
Everything we do is handled by our own team, from the first chat in the showroom through to the final clean-up after installation. No subcontractors, no handoffs.
How Your New Floor came to be
Tony's early years in flooring
Our founder Tony started out in a flooring wholesaler’s office before spending six years as an area sales manager across south London and Surrey.
He then joined a small team of five UK specialists working for European wood and laminate manufacturers, spending three years building up the product knowledge that would eventually shape his own business.
Launching Your New Floor, 2003
In 2003, Tony launched Your New Floor, supplying and installing wood and laminate flooring directly to the public. Honest advice and quality fitting quickly earned a loyal following.
Karen joins the business, 2006
In 2006, Tony’s wife Karen joined the business. Together they built up the online side of the company, and soon after opened their own premises with a small trade counter style showroom alongside the online shop.
Chloe joins and the first full showroom opens
By 2010 the local supply and installation side of the business had grown significantly. Tony and Karen’s daughter Chloe joined the team, and together they opened their first full showroom.
From online to in-person, and why
Over time, the family realised that selling flooring online had its limits. Customers couldn’t see, feel, or ask questions about the products in person.
They came to believe there’s no substitute for choosing flooring face to face, guided by people who know the products inside out. So they leant into what worked: a full showroom, a team of experts, and a fully qualified in-house installation team.
Where we are today
Today, Your New Floor operates the largest independent flooring showroom in Gravesend, stocked with carefully chosen products at the right prices. Every installation is carried out by our fully qualified in-house team.
Over 20 years on, we’re still family-run and still focused on doing flooring properly. The people who started the business are the same people you’ll meet when you walk through the showroom door.

Tony and Chris are both Quickstep and Balterio Master Installers, with Chris holding the record as the UK's youngest ever Balterio Master Installer.

Tony works with Floorskills Independent Inspection Services and trains other fitters, bringing national-level expertise to every job.

LVT, laminate, engineered wood, carpet, vinyl, artificial grass, resin, commercial flooring, and blinds and shutters. All supplied and fitted by us.
