Vinyl flooring has traditionally been used in wet areas of the home such as kitchens and bathrooms, but with the increase in the technology used to create the patterns vinyl floors have found themselves being installed in all areas of the home.  Many consumers are opting to use vinyl instead of carpets, laminated flooring and ceramic or stone tiles because of its low comparative cost and ease of cleaning and installation.  Households where liquid spillages are frequent are also opting for the practicality of vinyl flooring due to it being unaffected by moisture with no risk of swelling or water damage often experienced with carpets and laminates.  Vinyl floors are naturally warmer than laminate or ceramic/stone flooring, and are therefore more comfortable under foot, and with the vast choice of designs now available vinyl flooring has seen a dramatic rise in popularity over recent years.
